Royal Holloway in TV and film
Royal Holloway’s distinctive Founder’s Building and stunning grounds have proved to be a popular location in the production of a range of TV shows and film, including: Great British Railway Journeys, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Stargazing Live (BBC), Downton Abbey 2013 Christmas Special, Celebrity Masterchef, Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction, Midsomer Murders and Antiques Roadshow. Most recently, Royal Holloway acted as the back drop to Gareth Malone’s “The Choir: Best in Britain”, the contest to find Britain’s most entertaining, undiscovered amateur choir.
Filming at Royal Holloway is permitted during the Christmas, Easter and summer student vacation periods and on certain weekends at other times of year. Location fees are from 10,000 GBP, inclusive of VAT per day, including set up and break down days.
